

Tony, as he stated in his letter on his home page, wears many hats. Coach, Special Education
Teacher, and Writer. Family is very important to him, and is the driving force behind all he does.
Born Anthony Frank Lotti Jr., to Tony and Fran Lotti, in February of 1967, Tony is the oldest of five
children.
Tony has been involved in football practically his whole life. During his playing career, he achieved
many awards with recognition capped off by being brought into training camp with the New
England Patriots in 1990. He punted 81 times for a 41 yard average his senior season and was
selected as a Division II All-American for Tennessee Wesleyan College. He became the first
football player from Morrow High School to earn collegiate All-American status. He was also
selected 1st Team All Mid South Conference and received proclamations from the State of
Georgia, as well as, Clayton County and the City of Morrow, GA declaring “Tony Lotti Jr. Day – Feb.
24, 1990.” He was a member of Professional Kicking Services (PKS) of Sparks, Nevada where he
assisted instructional kicking camps in Ohio, California and Florida.
In 2002, he was named “Assistant Coach of the Year” by Kudzu Life Magazine and in 2005 he was
named the State of Georgia winner of the National Sportscasters & Sportswriters Association /
USA Football Champions Award. He was also inducted into the Tennessee Wesleyan College
Hall of Fame.
Tony is the author of two best selling books: Fourth Down and Long: Everything Is Possible When
You Believe & A Break in the Rain: A Boy, His Coach and a Special Wish. The book has received
the Editor's Choice designation and won the Rising Star Award. A Break in the Rain was also
named the WINNER at the 2011 International Book Awards and at the 2011 Hollywood Book
Festival. Both books are available through booksellers' world-wide.
Over the years, Tony has taught punters, kickers, holders and snappers based on individual
requests and through his Kicking Machine camp. He is currently the wide receivers, kicking and
special teams coach at Woodland High School in Stockbridge, Georgia.
