"Fourth Down and Long" is the true story of Tony Lotti, a graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan College
in Athens, Tennessee, where he earned All-American and All Conference honors in football. His
biggest dream was to walk into an NFL training camp as a player and if it was the New England
Patriots, nothing could make it better.
This is an inspiring story of setting goals and working hard to achieve those goals while never
making excuses. Mr. Lotti tells us that to successfully achieve, we must take responsibility, never
give up, and realize that if we do not like our current situation, then know we can change it. We
must always believe in God and love our family, for that is our inspiration. Know that everything
happens for a reason and is part of God's will. If we want something bad enough and are willing to
work for it, we can have it. Do not take ourselves too seriously though, and be sure and laugh once
in awhile. And it is always commendable to do something nice for someone else.
Mr. Lotti wrote his book so that his family would have something to keep forever. He had a goal of
writing a book, and he achieved his goal. If he succeeded in realizing his goal, he wants all of us to
know that we can too. Just believe in God and keep going. Never give up on your dreams, and never
hurt others to achieve those dreams, for it is just not necessary.
I recommend "Fourth Down and Long" for it is inspiring. As Mr. Lotti tells us, having something
upbeat, positive, and inspiring to read can help tremendously during rough times. If Mr. Lotti can
change a life by encouraging one of his readers to never give up on a dream, then his book has
been a worthwhile endeavor. Life is a series of ups and downs, but we can make it through all of
them. Remember that sometimes in life, the underdog does win. I urge everyone to pick up a copy
and see if Tony Lotti can encourage you.

people who influenced him along the way. A testament to the importance of family, faith and doing
the right thing. An inspiring book for all ages.
